Outcome Markets

HIP-4 is Hyperliquid's outcome-market primitive — binary contracts that settle to 0 or 1 against a validator-attested resolution. Unlike parimutuel prediction markets, HIP-4 clears on an orderbook with maker / taker price-time priority, so behaviour at the protocol layer is much closer to a perpetual than to Polymarket.

The current market#

As of 2026-05-13 there is one live HIP-4 market on mainnet: a recurring BTC daily binary contract that settles each day at 06:00 UTC. It was deployed by Hyperliquid validators.

Permissionless deployment — the phase where any address can stake HYPE and list a new outcome market — is not open yet.
